A &quot;must do&quot; for every visitor to Mossman Gorge are the Ngadiku Dreamtime Walks, conducted by the local Indigenous people. Ngadiku (Nar-di-gul) means stories and legends from a long time ago in local Kuku Yalanji language.

Yes, children can actively participate in most activities, including guided walks and swimming. The river cruise is suitable for all ages and makes an excellent family adventure.

Comfortable clothing, flat shoes suitable for walking, a raincoat if needed, a water bottle for refills, your camera, an extra set of clothes in case you go swimming, and cash for personal expenses like ice cream.

We start the day with a scenic coastal drive through some of the most inspiring scenery in the world, the winding road travels through the tropical rainforest and along secluded beaches.

Our first stop of the day is the Daintree Rainforest River Cruise, we jump aboard &lsquo;Solar Whisper&rsquo; the only zero emission boat on the Daintree River. This whisper quiet boat can glide quietly up to crocodiles and other wildlife without scaring them or hurting their habitat. This boat is fitted with the unique &ldquo;Croc Cam&rdquo; to help show well camouflaged crocodiles and wildlife, this beautiful experience practices true Eco Tourism.

Nestled in the World Heritage Listed Daintree Rainforest, is our next stop - Mossman Gorge. The gorge contains the oldest, tropical continuously surviving rainforest on earth &ndash; dated between 130 - 180 million years old..

The afternoon is spent delving deep into indigenous culture, on the Dreamtime Walk with the Kuku Yalanji, will start the walk on a private rainforest track, with a traditional &lsquo;smoking&rsquo; ceremony to cleanse and ward off bad spirits. Your guide will lead you on a meandering stroll through stunning, lush rainforest, observing traditional huts or humpies along the way. Your experienced interpretive Indigenous guide demonstrates traditional plant use, identifies bush food sources, and provides an enchanting narrative of the rainforest and their special relationship with this unique tropical environment. Discover traditions like making bush soaps and ochre painting. At the end of the tour, enjoy traditional bush tea and damper &ndash; the perfect treat after your journey.

Enjoy some free time to swim in the crystal-clear waters of Mossman Gorge, surrounded by large granite boulders, these rocks contain a percentage of quartz, these waters are known to be healing to your body, mind and soul, before departing home.
