Come aboard for a morning or afternoon sail onboard the Kamoauli,&nbsp;a traditional Polynesian wa&#39;a kaulua &ndash;&nbsp;an all-wood, double-hulled sailing canoe. Experience this unique, place-based educational platform for a sailing journey filled with activities like poi pounding, refreshments including fresh fruit and seafood, and relaxation, accompanied by music and stories of creation.&nbsp;

The original vessel, sourced from Tonga&nbsp;and made almost entirely from Tongan cedar wood, was lovingly rebuilt over an epic 100 days to make it suitable for sailing in Hawaiian waters. As a result, it&#39;s now&nbsp;the only U.S. Coast Guard certified Polynesian wa&#39;a kaulua in the world and the only vessel of its kind that is available for the general public to charter.

Kamoauli seeks to perpetuate Hawaiian historical and cultural understanding of the landscapes and ocean of O&#39;ahu&#39;s Kona coast. The expansive view from the decks of&nbsp;Kamoauli&nbsp;as she travels&nbsp;along O&#39;ahu&#39;s waterways will provide&nbsp;a unique perspective to not only tell but to actually show the&nbsp;mo&#39;oleleo o ka &#39;aina&nbsp;&ndash; the stories of&nbsp;ancestral knowledge&nbsp;connected to the various features and places&nbsp;within sight:&nbsp;the&nbsp;mauna, the&nbsp;pu&#39;u&nbsp;ridges, the&nbsp;auwai, the valleys, and the&nbsp;kahakai.&nbsp;
