Kamoauli seeks to perpetuate Hawaiian historical and cultural understanding of the landscapes and ocean of O&#39;ahu&#39;s Kona coast. The expansive view from the decks of&nbsp;Kamoauli&nbsp;as she travels&nbsp;along O&#39;ahu&#39;s waterways will provide&nbsp;a unique perspective to not only tell but to actually show the&nbsp;mo&#39;oleleo o ka &#39;aina&nbsp;&ndash; the stories of&nbsp;ancestral knowledge&nbsp;connected to the various features and places&nbsp;within sight:&nbsp;the&nbsp;mauna, the&nbsp;pu&#39;u&nbsp;ridges, the&nbsp;auwai, the valleys, and the&nbsp;kahakai.&nbsp;

Guided by&nbsp;the&nbsp;kupuna, the&nbsp;wahi pana&nbsp;&ndash;&nbsp;the historical places, traditions, and beliefs of&nbsp;kanaka maoli&nbsp;&ndash;&nbsp;Kamoauli&nbsp;offers personalized experiences for guests by providing an enriched understanding and&nbsp;appreciation for Hawaiian values,&nbsp;resources, community, history,&nbsp;culture and innovations.&nbsp;

The original vessel, sourced from Tonga&nbsp;and made almost entirely from Tongan cedar wood, was lovingly rebuilt over an epic 100 days to make it suitable for sailing in Hawaiian waters. As a result, it&#39;s now&nbsp;the only U.S. Coast Guard certified Polynesian wa&#39;a kaulua in the world and the only vessel of its kind that is available for the general public to charter.
