8 Day Guided Cambodia Cycling Tour itinerary:&nbsp;&nbsp;

Bike your way through the Cambodian countryside and learn more about Khmer culture as you make your way to the ancient ruins of Angkor Wat &ndash; one of the top wonders of the world!

Day 1: Arrive in Phnom Penh (transfers included on this date) 
After arriving in&nbsp;Phnom Penh, you will be greeted by your local guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Kindly note that the check-in time standard is at 14:00. This evening, a welcome dinner will be arranged to meet your fellow riders and guides before setting off for tomorrow&#39;s adventure.

Day 2: Cycling around Phnom Penh&nbsp; 
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then take off on your first day of cycling to Koh Dach Island. This area is bustling with people who make a living along the banks of the Mekong River. Drop into a community craft shop to learn more people about the local arts and crafts, which are sold in the town markets. This afternoon, the group takes a visit to the Royal Palace (home to the current Cambodian monarch &ndash; King Sihamoni) and the infamous Tuol Sleng Prison. Also known as Security Prison 21 (S21), Tuol Sleng Prison is a former high school that was transformed into a detention and interrogation centre. An estimated 14,000 to 20,000 Cambodians accused of being traitors were tortured to death or sent to their execution from here. It&#39;s a sombre reminder of Cambodia&#39;s tragic history.&nbsp;

Day 3: Phnom Penh to Chhang 
Today we transfer to the ancient capital of Udong where Udong Mountain is still home to many of the old Royal Palaces. We pay a visit to one of the remaining stupa&rsquo;s before we cycle through rural back roads in Kampong Chhnang Province.

Meals: Breakfast, Picnic Lunch &amp; Dinner 
Cycling distance: Approx 50km (Easy/Moderate)&nbsp;

Day 4: Kampong Chhnang to Battambang 
In the morning, transfer to the local ferry then cross to the western side of the river and cycle through the countryside, around Neng Konrey Mountain before heading back&nbsp; for the transfer to Battambang Town.

Cycling distance: Approx 60km (Easy/Moderate)&nbsp;

Day 5: Explore the town of Battambang&nbsp; 
The tour starts after breakfast with a day cycling around Battambang to hidden places including a unique ride to experience the famous bamboo train through the villages and rice fields including the pre-Angkor Complex Phnom Banon temple. Later, we explore Phnom Sampov, known as the Killing Cave while Cambodia ruled by Khmer Rouge (1975&ndash;79).

Day 6: Battambang-Siem Reap&nbsp;

Today take a scenic boat journey along the river and out on to the Tonle Sap Lake past floating villages and witness daily life on the banks for 5+ hours to Siem Reap, upon arrival we cycle for 12km to the hotel and we enjoy a cooking class in the evening.

Day 7: Discover the ancient ruins of Angkor by bike 
Head out early this morning to watch the sunrise at Angkor Wat then visit the temple, we will have breakfast in a local restaurant before we start cycling to visit the stunning temples of Angkor Thom and Bayon. After lunch, continue cycling to Ta Prohm temple then return to the hotel by bike. This evening we will enjoy a farewell dinner with the Cambodian team at one of the city&rsquo;s best restaurants.&nbsp;

Day 8: Departure 
Time to say our sad farewells and journey onward. Standard hotel check&ndash;out time is 12:00 pm (bags can be left for later flights). You will be transferred to Siem Reap airport for your scheduled flight.&nbsp;
