You can wear whatever makes you feel comfortable, but The Operator does recommend smart casual attire. Bring a jacket for your heli landing, as the higher altitude can be much cooler. Also, make sure to bring sun protection for those sunny days when you might want to enjoy outdoor tastings.&nbsp;

As this is an afternoon tour, The Operator suggests having lunch before departure. You&rsquo;ll be provided with a sharing platter and grazing food at a couple of locations.

Well, if that&rsquo;s what you want, then yes! All locations will have tonic available to mix if you don&rsquo;t think you can hack the straight gin all day, giving you the choice of how strong you want your drink.

Yes! All gin purchased is placed in the boot of the vehicle and passed over to you on completion of the tour so you can enjoy it after or later on your holiday.

Welcome to the world&#39;s first heli gin tour!&nbsp;You&#39;ll feel like a rockstar while soaking up the sights from a mountain location with a gin in hand.&nbsp;

Your experience begins with pick-ups up from your accommodation by the heli partner and transported to their heli base in Frankton, where you&#39;ll have a safety briefing before boarding the aircraft.

&nbsp;

You will be whisked away on a 15-minute scenic flight to a secluded mountain location. Here your pilot will open the hatch, present and pour your first gin, a very exclusive and special gin to start the day. This location on the mountain top provides privacy and panoramic views, a truly remarkable experience and a great way to kick off your afternoon.

&nbsp;

You will then be transported by helicopter to the Cardrona Distillery, landing right inside the grounds out the front of the property. Meet your gin guide and be taken through a full sensory, tactile tour of the facilities, including a gin tasting in the private tasting room. The remainder of your journey takes place in a premium Mercedes vehicle.

&nbsp;

Your next stop is an easy drive down the Crown Range into Arrowtown&nbsp;to visit an excellent&nbsp;cellar door called &#39;The Winery&#39;. Here you will have a self-guided experience, using the knowledge you have just gained to select your gin-tasting paddle along with shared grazing boards. There will be time here for you to buy an additional drink, whether that be gin, wine, cocktail, beer or other. This location has the most extensive range of wines in Queenstown and is a delight to walk through and explore.

The last stop is a 15-minute journey to Arthurs Point, where you&#39;ll visit the Gin Garden by Broken Heart Spirits. Here you will be guided through a range of local Broken Heart gins in a private room with traditional German Tarte Flambee to share.

This Queenstown heli gin tour has been designed to be the perfect&nbsp;mix of education, sightseeing and fun. It is ideal for couples and groups, and there is some flexibility to try other spirits such as vodka, whiskey and, of course, wines throughout if you want to balance or pace your gin intake.
