Chiliboats are incredibly safe and stable however they have a maximum weight restriction of 120kg.&nbsp;The seats are adjustable for leg lengths and for this reason, the tours are not recommended for children under the age of 12 years.

There is no shade on the bikes so sun-protective clothing including a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen is a must. Please also bring a water bottle and beach shoes that you don&#39;t mind getting wet. You can hire beach shoes with The Operator, but please note there is limited availability.&nbsp;

An upright water bike is more like a standard bike while a reclined water bike is perfect for those who wish to sit back and cruise.

Try a&nbsp;fun and unique experience in the Whitsundays, cruising along the stunning azure coastline on a water bike. If you can ride a bike, you can ride a water bike.

Depart from one of two locations around the town of Airlie Beach, the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, at either Shingley Beach or Shute Harbour for your 1 hour 30 minute experience. The bikes are incredibly stable and safe to ride, with adjustable leg lengths, and are a fun and easy way to get around.&nbsp;

You can choose from two different styles &ndash; an Upright Water Bike (like a standard bike) or a Reclined Water Bike (if you wish to lie back and cruise leisurely).

Let one of the experienced guides show you the coastline of the Whitsundays as you pedal through the moored vessels, search for turtles, dolphins, dugongs, and coral gardens, and explore the species of Mangroves. Learn about the importance of marine and wildlife species to the reef system, and about the different plants of the coastlines.

Please make sure you bring sun-protective clothing and a water bottle, as there is no shade on the bike.&nbsp;Beach shoes are also advised to wear, or there are some that can be rented (limited availability).&nbsp;
