What to Expect

All you need to bring along is your swimwear and towel. We provide all equipment (wetsuit, surfboard, sunscreen and zinc).
As we say, you’re going to get wet anyway! Some of the best waves come with the rain! Our lessons are held rain, hail or shine. The only reason we will cancel if the conditions are dangerous.
We surf in all weather and surf conditions providing it is safe. If the surf is too big, or the conditions unsafe, then we will reschedule the lesson. If we change the time and you are unable to come to the new lesson, then we will provide a refund. Otherwise, there are no refunds, transfers to other people, or cancellations.
If you would like to reschedule a lesson you have booked, we need at least 24 hours notice. Failure to give the necessary notice will mean forfeiture of that lesson.
A lot of our lessons are held in waist-deep water but we do ask that you’re able to swim 50 metres (the length of an Olympic swimming pool) for all group lessons. Contact us if you are unsure of your swimming ability.
Everyone learns at a different pace but most people do stand up on their first lesson. We recommend you take a course of at least three lessons to really experience the feeling of surfing.
You have come to the right place! For Adults (12yrs and older) the best place to start is with our 2 hour group beginner lessons, these are offered at all three locations; Bondi, Byron and Maroubra.

Amazing surf lesson, me and my sister were absolute beginner surfers and were expecting to be pretty hopeless in the water🤣, but our instuctor Dan had us standing on our boards and making it all the way into shore within 30 mins!!! Nice staff, great value and had such a blast ill be back tomorrow! Thanks heaps guys!

Hands down best experience of my life!!! Dan and Lucas were the instructors and they did a fabulous job at informing us on all the details when it came to the ocean, the board and our safety. They ensured everyone felt comfortable before entering the ocean to catch some waves. They did a remarkable job at making sure everyone got the help and guidance they needed to in order to execute a wave. Such kind men. It was my first time surfing and I was able to catch almost every wave! Thank you so much again you guys!

We had an amazing time learning to surf with Ava and Johnny - they were helpful, patient and really fun instructors, would highly recommend!

Mitch and Adrian (sorry if I misspelt the names) were so patient and pedagogic. They put you in such a good mood to learn surfing, it was my first time surfing and can't wait to learn more I recommand !

Great fun, great location, great learning experience! We are mid-40s couple and never surfed before. Group had mix of kids to senior. Perfect for our level and very enjoyable.

AVA really made my first ever surf lesson an absolute joy! Her teaching and ability to encourage and coach me allowed me to really conquer my fear of the sea and had me learning and pushing me to keep progressing ! When I go back I’ll book again through these guys! Thank you so much Ava!

- Group bookings of 9 or more available on request / private lessons available on request
- Actual lesson is 2 hours on beach with approx 15 mins either side for changing

- If you need to change your booking we are happy to accommodate your preferred time, as long as you give us at least 24 hours notice. Without 24 hours notice the cost of your booking will be forfeited.
