Minimum Operating Numbers Cancellations: 
Cairns Reef Fishing has a minimum operating number of passengers required. In the rare event the minimum has not been met, a cancellation email will be sent, and the customer will have the choice to reschedule or receive a refund and/or gift cards to be made valid again. (

You can wear anything comfortable that can get wet, bare foot is ok and is preferable to thongs / Flip Flops

Our anglers come from all walks of life and have all levels of fishing experience from beginners to serious anglers, we cater for everyone and enjoy nothing more than offering advice to those that are looking to improving their fishing skills.

The boat has a fully covered deck area , however, wearing a long-sleeve shirt is always recommended to protect you from the sun and board shorts or comfortable pants.&nbsp; Remember to apply sunscreen everywhere, feet, neck and legs too!

Kids from the age of 7 and up are more than welcome on board the Cairns Reef Fishing fleet and to have a go at getting a big catch. Kids 7-14 years travel for $310 on our shared charter.

A full day reef fishing charter is an awesome day out on the beautiful waters of the Great Barrier Reef chasing some of the areas iconic reef species such as Coral Trout, Red Emperor, Large Mouth Nannygai and Spanish Mackerel to name just a few.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Shared charters are a great option to get out to the reef without worrying about getting a large group together. You will share this trip with people from all walks of life, from mums and dads to young kids, mad-keen fisherman and inquisitive tourists. It&rsquo;s a great day out on the reef!

This is a deep sea fishing charter, and usually fish at 30-60 metres depth anywhere in a 50km radius from Cairns. Be warned, we expect you to land fish up to 10kg or bigger, so hang on!

Itinerary

	Check-in at the Cairns Marlin Marina (behind Shangri-La), D Finger at 6:30am sharp and complete some paperwork
	</li>
	<li>
	Board the boat for a welcome aboard and safety briefing and help yourself to tea or coffee and fresh croissants
	</li>
	<li>
	Depart for the Great Barrier Reef. Travel time to &amp; from the reef is at least 90 minutes
	</li>
	<li>
	Once we find our destination, you will recieve&nbsp;a short briefing on reef fishing technique
	</li>
	<li>
	Lunch on the boat around midday
	</li>
	<li>
	Depart the reef for the trip home around 2pm
	</li>
	<li>
	Maybe a cold beer on the way home
	</li>
	<li>
	Return between 3:30-4:00pm
	</li>

	<li>Cairns Reef Fishing will contact all passengers the evening prior (approx. 4pm to 6pm) to their booking to re-confirm all trips.</li>
	<li>All bookings are subject to minimum passenger numbers and suitable weather conditions. (Rain is not considered bad weather)</li>
	<li>If passengers are travelling from a long distance, it is a good idea to check with Cairns Reef Fishing&nbsp;prior to departure for a trip update</li>
	<li>If a person becomes unwell and requests to be returned back to shore, please note that no refund will be given, and it is also up to the Skipper&rsquo;s discretion whether or not to return to port.</li>
	<li>Any fishing rods, reels or equipment that are lost overboard or damaged in any way due to customer negligence must be paid for by the customer before leaving the boat</li>
	<li>All passengers of Cairns Reef Fishing must read the waiver terms and conditions and complete the waiver form before the vessel departs</li>
	<li>Bookings can be rescheduled provided the request is made 7 days prior to the scheduled charter date.</li>
