The tour is designed to suit children who are six years old and above.
No astronomy knowledge is required.
The Earth orbits around the Sun in 12 months. As a consequence, the landscape of our starry nights changes a lot throughout the year!
At times you will see the Moon; at other times, the Milky Way or Mars could be up there, or Saturn, or Jupiter, or Orion. It’s all season dependent.
Here are some pointers: if you like the Moon, come up a night of gibbous night (a few days before or after the Full Moon). If you like the Milky Way, come on a New Moon or when the Moon is set. If you’re unsure, nights with a thin Moon crescent are the best.
Yes, there is free parking available. When you get there, you'll meet the group in front of the Plantation Point Playground, near the carpark and toilets. Look for your lovely co-host Caroline, who will welcome you with a red light.
The Operator loves these questions. Silly questions, strange questions, existential questions, million-dollar questions, they are all welcome during the tour. Come as you are and ask any questions during our tours; they're very interactive experiences, so don't be shy.
