The shoulder months may still be warm (30-35 degrees Celsius) but generally the weather is Dry and Cool (25-30 degrees celsius) with big blue skies, hence why this season is named the Dry Season. Evenings can be quite cold in the Bungles it can go down to as low as -2 degrees, so do bring warm jackets.

Yes as the tour operator employs Aboriginal custodian&rsquo;s for country to guide the tour. Their guides are the dream team in the Kimberley, are local to the region and have many years of guiding experience. Kolya, Bec, Leah, Dre, Roberta, and Les are aboriginal guides and known as the most experienced guides in the Kimberley. They are responsible for training our up and coming guides. You will see the owner Rosie out and about helping with packing up sites and helping out the guys on the ground if needed. All their guides and staff are locals!

The tour operator provides free airport transfers for all their tours out of Kununurra, Broome and Darwin. Please be ready 30 minutes prior to departure and remember to request a pickup when booking with us.

Start your journey at 10:00 AM, meeting at Bungles Airstrip where you&rsquo;ll receive a warm Muntha (Welcome to Country) from your Aboriginal guide. Begin with a taste of freshly made damper served with bush honey and your choice of tea or coffee, as your guide shares the deep cultural and spiritual connections to this remarkable land.

After refreshments, set out in an air-conditioned 4WD to explore the breathtaking Cathedral Gorge and iconic Beehive Domes. The easy 5 km hike offers an immersive experience into the landscape as your guide brings the area&rsquo;s history alive, sharing Dreamtime stories and insights about the rich cultural and natural heritage of Purnululu National Park.

Pause for lunch, enjoying your own packed meal in the heart of nature. Be sure to bring along a water bottle, hat, and a light day pack for comfort. Following lunch, continue exploring the area, soaking in the beauty and cultural significance of this ancient landscape. Comfortable footwear is recommended for a day filled with wonder and discovery.
