Unfortunately, seasickness does not discriminate and can cause discomfort. We would highly recommend sea sickness tablets if you are unsure about how good your sea legs are. Seasickness tablets can be purchased over the counter at any chemist, without a prescription. Check with your pharmacist to find a brand that will suit your needs.

Wear comfortable walking shoes, something that you&rsquo;re happy to walk through the sand with &ndash; thongs are fine, just not your favourite high heels!

The Dunsborough Whale Watching Experience requires a beach boarding as there are no marina/jetty facilities available in Dunsborough for commercial operators. Unfortunately, this does mean this tour is not wheelchair friendly.&nbsp;

The first response is always &ldquo;Every day is a good day to come whale watching&rdquo;! After all, The Operator only offers tours during the times the whales are around, and their success rate is 99%.&nbsp;

If you prefer warm weather and calm waters, the ideal time for you is from September to December in Dunsborough. If you don&rsquo;t mind the cold, whale watching in August&nbsp;is an incredible experience.

Dunsborough is located approx. a 40 minute drive from <a href="/australia/margaret-river" target="_blank">Margaret River.</a>

Relax and enjoy the amazing scenery on board luxury vessel Alison Maree a 20-metre catamaran built in Western Australia for West Australian conditions. The Alison Maree is family-friendly and suitable for all ages. Parents can feel confident and rest assured that their young ones will be safe with safety rails all around the vessel and children&#39;s life jackets on board for peace of mind. Modern bathroom facilities are available, and you&#39;ll feel like a VIP with complimentary access to the Captain&#39;s Lounge.

 
The cruises are approximately 2&nbsp;hrs long and provide you with the&nbsp;opportunity to view Humpback Whales, Southern Right Whales and the rare Blue and Minke Whales on both their northern and southern migrations. Each year the whales take the mighty journey north on their annual migration to the warmer waters to give birth to their young. They then return to the summer feeding grounds of Antarctica, accompanied by their calves that were born in the warm tropical waters of Australia&rsquo;s northwest and beyond.

&nbsp;

On their migration back south, the Humpback and Blue whales travel close to shore and pause to rest and nurse their calves in the calm, protected waters of Geographe Bay, Dunsborough. The views and interactions are so special, and it&nbsp;comes as no surprise that you are incredibly lucky to witness the major migration of more than 35,000 whales that move through Geographe Bay each year.

&nbsp;

During your whale watching tour, other marine life you might encounter includes&nbsp;New Zealand Fur Seals,&nbsp;Bottlenose &amp; Common Dolphins, and sea birds.&nbsp;

 
The&nbsp;crew are all trained in marine science and provide expert commentary while you enjoy morning or afternoon tea, including coffee, tea, milo, green tea, filtered water and biscuits.

Please note for the Dunsborough departure&nbsp;it is a beach boarding, and you will need to be transferred from the beach to the Alison Maree via a tender vessel; this is an easy and safe process with no complicated movements required, your feet will stay dry, it&#39;s all apart of the adventure!

Your time on the water is 2 hours. Including check-in, boarding and disembarking your vessel, please allow 3 hours in total for your experience.

WEATHER/CANCELLATION 

The Operator does not guarantee that your tour will take place at the scheduled time. Schedules may change without notice for a variety of reasons including, but not limited, to bad weather and technical disruptions. Scheduled times do not form part of your contract with The Operator.

The Operator reserves the right to cancel or change a tour or to replace any boats at any time in the interests of passenger safety. Weather and sea conditions can change quickly and this may alter the status of your tour at any time. In rough sea conditions, the boat captain may increase child age limits or place restrictions on or refuse to carry passengers with medical conditions and/or limited mobility and passengers who are pregnant.

HEALTH/SAFETY 

The Operator&rsquo;s highest priority is your safety and comfort, and the health and safety requirements are here to ensure this. The Operator may refuse to carry you if they, acting reasonably, are not completely satisfied that it is practicable and safe for you to participate in the tour. Before you make any booking you must tell The Operator if you (including all participants in your booking) suffer from any illness, disease or other mobility or medical condition which may make it impracticable or unsafe for you or other passengers to participate in the tour, or if you think you could be affected by adverse sea and weather conditions.

All tours carry a degree of risk and by participating in the tour provided by The Operator you are expressly assuming those risks personally and are, to the maximum extent permitted by law, releasing The Operator and the officers and employees from any liability, claims, losses, damages or expenses caused by any event, including, but not limited to: personal injury or death, property loss or damage, acts which may be construed as negligent or accidental, any other loss, damage, suffering, emotional or nervous disorder.

To ensure maximum safety and enjoyment of the tour by yourself and other passengers you must follow all reasonable instructions given by the staff before, during and after the tour and you agree that you will ensure that any children in your care do the same. You are responsible for the safety and protection of your own personal possessions at all times.

Even if you have a booking, The Operator may refuse to carry you if they reasonably believe that carrying you may put the safety of the boat or the safety or health of any person in the boat in danger or at risk, or if you have not obeyed the instructions of the staff or a member of the crew of the boat relating to safety or security, or if you require special assistance and you have not previously made arrangements for such assistance, or if you are drunk or under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or they reasonably believe you are in unlawful possession of drugs.

CHECK IN DEADLINE 

Check-in deadlines apply and may be strictly enforced. To help The Operator get your tour away on time, ensure you are at the departure point by the time specified. You will not be able to check-in after the check-in deadline. Arrival after the check-in deadline may result in you losing your tour and the entire fare paid. The boat will not be held for you if you arrive late at the departure point. The Operator is not liable to you for any direct or indirect loss or damage you may suffer as a result of your late arrival at either check in or the departure point.

GUARANTEE 

There is no guarantee that whales will be seen on your tour. If whales are not sighted on your tour, the no whale policy applies.

SUMMARY OF FARE CONDITIONS 

Tour Cancellation

In the event that your tour is cancelled due to adverse sea or weather conditions a full refund will be given or you will be given the opportunity to reschedule.

Booking Cancellation or Changes 

To cancel or change your booking please contact the office directly (08) 9750 5500.

No refunds will be given in the event of your failure to notify The Operator of your cancellation before the check-in time.

The Operator accepts Visa, MasterCard and Eftpos. The Operator can accept cash on the day only if a credit card is given to secure the booking.

When securing a booking with credit card details you agree to the terms that in case of a cancellation by yourself or a no show your credit card will be charged as per the cancellation policy. This applies to bookings made over the phone and over the internet and also includes when you choose the option of only paying a 20% deposit.

AGREEMENT 

By purchasing a tour ticket you are saying that you understand and accept the above terms and conditions and also that you:

<ol>
	<li>agree that your successors, executors, administrators and next of kin are bound by the terms and conditions;</li>
	<li>agree, to the maximum extent permitted by law, not to commence any litigation or proceedings in any country in relation to the risks and perils of the tour and to indemnify The Operator against any such claims;</li>
	<li>consent to receive medical treatment in the case of injury, accident or illness during the tour and to indemnify The Operator against any claims in respect of this treatment;</li>
	<li>agree that any photographs, films, sound, video or other recordings taken of events or people by anyone during the tour will not be used in any promotion or advertising without The Operator&rsquo;s consent, however, The Operator may use such images or recordings at our complete discretion without any prior approval;</li>
	<li>confirm that the email address you have provided belongs to you or is authorised for your use and that you consent to The Operator sending to you, from time to time and until such time as you unsubscribe, marketing information (including surveys) in relation to The Operator&rsquo;s business and your experience with them;</li>
	<li>agree that this Agreement is governed by Australian Law</li>

PRIVACY POLICY 

Any personal information The Operator collects from you will be kept confidential to the best of their ability. You will appreciate, however that The Operator cannot guarantee the security of transmission. By purchasing a tour ticket you are confirming that the use of your email address for marketing or survey purposes as mentioned above is an authorised use of your personal information.

NO SIGHTING POLICY

The Bremer Canyon Killer Whale Expeditions No Whale Policy: If no Killer Whales (Orca) are sighted on your expedition you can join The Operator again for FREE! No further offers of a complimentary revisit will occur once this offer has been used. This offer is valid for one revisit per person and is valid for 2 years, it is not transferable. You must contact the office directly to arrange a revisit.

Whale Watching Eco Tours departing Dunsborough/Busselton/Augusta: Whales are free-roving mammals so in the unlikely event of no whales being sighted you can join The Operator again for free. The &ldquo;No Whale&rdquo; re-visit offer is valid for 12 months between 1st June and 30th November.

All tours are subject to availability, weather and minimum numbers.

The repeat voucher is valid for one tour only and is non-transferable.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation of tours by The Operator 

Guest&#39;s safety and comfort is always The Operator&rsquo;s priority. The Operator constantly monitors sea conditions along the coastline and respond professionally to any changes. This may mean:

Cancellation of a Tour 

Restrictions may be placed on passengers with medical or mobility problems. The child age limit may be raised. A full refund will apply to tours cancelled due to inclement weather or any other safety reason if it cannot be rebooked to the customer&#39;s satisfaction.

Cancellations by guests (Not Covid Related)

Cancellations by guests will incur a minimum 20% fee. Cancellations 14 days or less prior to departure incur a 50% fee. Cancellations 7 days or less of departure, no refund applies. Cancellation Policy for Covid-19 (For bookings made 22 December 2021 and after)

The customer shall comply with all Government (Federal and State) COVID-19 vaccination or testing requirements for entry into Western Australia or to access the operator&rsquo;s premises, event or service. Where the customer does not meet a vaccination or testing requirement:

<ol style="list-style-type:lower-alpha">
	<li>prior to departure from the customer&rsquo;s home location, the customer will forfeit any and all monies paid; or</li>
	<li>for entry to the event or venue or access to the service, the customer will not be granted entry and will forfeit any and all monies paid.</li>
</ol>

Where the customer cancels due to government travel restrictions other than vaccination or testing requirements, the customer will be able to request a refund or reschedule the booking for a later date. If you wish to receive a refund please note there will be a $50 fee per person to cover administrative expenses and other losses.

No Show/Cancellation 

If you have opted to not make full payment when booking you agree that your credit card will be used as security on the booking and in case of a no show or cancellation your credit card will be charged as per the cancellation policy. Full payment can be made on the day of your tour via cash or card.
