Shared facilities include short fresh hot water showers, 220 – 230 volt AC & 24 volt DC electricity. Please note that power is only available for charging phones and cameras when the generator is running during the evening cruise.
The ship’s cook is able to cater for vegetarian and gluten-free options. Note that the vegetarian options are not vegan. You are advised to bring warm clothes as there are no heaters in the rooms. As the Soren Larsen remains a sea going vessel, her authentic timber cabins are basic and small. Soren’s cabins are typical of a voyaging tall ship and have been designed for offshore voyage conditions. This is your chance to have a taste of what it was like to travel the world on a tall ship 200 hundred years ago, but of course with many of the benefits of modern conveniences such as lighting, hot showers and electricity.
Soren Larsen is a large wooden square rigger 145 ft. long (44.2m), 25ft 6 ins wide, 98 ft. high masts, 19th century brigantine rig; traditionally and comfortably furnished below decks.
