Your tour begins in Kathmandu.
On the final day you will return to where you began the tour in Kathmandu from Pokhara. Your included transfer will be a 8-9 hour journey. To avoid this longer journey, you may also take a short domestic flight back to Kathmandu. Please note that this will have to be arranged independently and is not included in the tour.
The beauty of this group style of travel is that it caters to travellers who are travelling solo and who want to meet and share experiences with like-minded people.
Rooming is organised on a twin-share basis. Solo travellers will be paired with another traveller of the same gender.
There is also an optional single supplement available on most trips for travellers who prefer to have their own room.
Absolutely!
This trip includes some long drives on winding roads. If you experience severe motion sickness, this trip may not be suitable for you.
Some of the best scenery on this trip will be found on hikes. So, while this trip doesn't require a high level of fitness, it's essential to be at least moderately fit if you want to partake in all activities. Please ensure you bring sturdy walking shoes and comfortable clothes.
All countries require a valid passport (with a minimum 6 months validity).
Contact your local embassy or consulate for the most up-to-date visa requirements, or see your travel agent.
It is your own responsibility to have the correct travel documentation. Visa requirements for your trip will vary depending on where you are from and where you are going.
Yes, travel insurance is compulsory on this trip.
Spending varies from person to person & you’ll receive a spending guide in your welcome pack, but $30-40 AUD per day is plenty on average.
Tipping is customary in Nepal, especially for good service at restaurants around 5-10% of the bill. We usually find it easier if your group leader says how much the tip should be and everyone can pitch in together to form a kitty which will cover you for any hotels or restaurants we visit on tour together.

If you have an existing medical condition or disability that may affect your trip or how the Operator delivers your experience, they ask that you inform them in writing at the time of your booking. You may be asked to obtain a medical certificate, and if they reasonably feel they are unable to accommodate your particular needs, they reserve the right to decline your booking.
While travelling on this tour, you'll experience a vast array of wonderful food. Your group leader will be able to suggest restaurants to try during your trip. To give you maximum flexibility in deciding where, what and with whom to eat, only some meals are included in this tour price.
This also gives you more budgeting flexibility. As a rule, groups tend to eat together to enable you to taste a larger variety of dishes and enjoy each other's company. If you have dietary requirements and/or food allergies, please let The Operator know at the time of booking or prior to departure.
Tribhuvan International Airport.
We wouldn’t recommend bringing more than 15-20kg on this tour as it will be more comfortable for you to carry less.
The trek to Australia Camp involves a 5-6 hour hike that reaches an altitude of 2,065m. While this altitude is not typically associated with high-altitude illness (HAI), the oxygen levels are lower than at sea level, which can make the trek more strenuous for some individuals.
If you have a respiratory condition such as asthma, we recommend consulting your doctor prior to booking. The reduced oxygen levels at this altitude may have significant effects on individuals with respiratory issues.
You can opt out of the trek if you don't feel comfortable.
