Your trip includes an Environmental Access Fee which goes directly towards preserving the Abel Tasman National Park.

A portion of your ticket price goes directly towards preserving the unique environment you will enjoy on your trip in the Abel Tasman. This includes the compulsory concession fees paid to the Department of Conversation as well as voluntary contributions to local organisations and projects to improve the environment, ecology and access to the National Park. &nbsp;Fees are adjusted according to your trip, you can see your contribution when you purchase a ticket.

Check in time is seasonal, generally Summer (1 Sept &ndash; 30 Apr) &nbsp;8.15 am &nbsp;&amp; Winter (1 May &ndash; 31 Aug) 9.00 am check-in. Please check your confirmation email or the trip itinerary as some trips do start later.

Explore the coastline from Marahau to the renowned Split Apple Rock. Paddle past sea caves on a high tide, learn about the shag (Cormorant) colony, and venture to Nagio Island &amp; Split Apple Rock before circling back to Marahau. The unhurried pace ensures ample moments to capture that perfect photograph of Split Apple Rock, all while indulging in a hot or cold drink on the beach, with a stunning view of Split Apple Rock before you.

Paddling is our business, with all activities supported by our purpose-built kayak base, featuring complimentary showers, wifi, gear storage &amp; client transporters. We also provide high-quality soft gear &ndash; fitted for each client by our guides and high-quality hard gear &ndash; customised for comfort for each client.

12.00 pm: Check in and meet your guide

12.15 pm: Kayak briefing

12.30 pm: Kayak from Marahau to Split Apple Rock. Enjoy a snack &amp; refreshments at the beach. Kayak approx 1.5 hours with breaks.

4.00 pm: Arrive back in Marahau

	<li>Risk Disclosure:&nbsp;In any outdoor adventure activity, participants are exposed to variations in weather conditions and therefore there is an element of risk involved. Risks in undertaking this water-based activity include but are not limited to; Personal Injury (sea sickness, heat stroke, hypothermia, drowning) and Property Damage. The tour operator mitigate this risk through thorough preparation and adherence to a detailed Risk Identification and Management System. This includes providing you with the necessary information, training and safety equipment to participate in our activities. You are personally responsible for listening to our directions, adhering to our advice, and making responsible decisions to keep yourself safe. Additionally, we reserve the right to modify, alter or cancel activities at any given time if we feel your safety, or the safety of others may be compromised.</li>
	<li>We advise all clients to consider arranging appropriate travel insurance that covers Adventure Tourism. On guided trips, Abel Tasman Kayaks is responsible for all company equipment on that trip (e.g. kayaks, tents etc). On Freedom Rentals, the client is solely responsible for any loss or damage to all equipment. The hirers&rsquo; responsibility ceases once Abel Tasman Kayaks equipment has been loaded onto an approved water taxi or, where the kayak is paddled back to Marahau, loaded onto the kayak transporters. Under all circumstances, the client is solely responsible for their personal equipment.</li>
