Due to the sometimes bouncy nature of the ride, people with bad backs, older people who are frail, and children under 5 years old are not to take our tour. Pregnant women are not allowed on the tours.

While staying on the island, you will probably find it cheaper and more convenient to rent a car. Otherwise, there are a number of taxi companies that can assist you.

No, in accordance with The Operator&#39;s Kealakekua Bay special use permit regulated by the DLNR, only Reef Safe sunscreen will be allowed on the tour.&nbsp; There is reef safe sunscreen for you to apply at check-in, and also for purchase to have for the rest of your stay.

To know if your sunscreen is reef safe, check the active ingredients.&nbsp;

Good ingredients = Zinc Oxide/Titanium Dioxide.&nbsp;

Bad ingredients = Oxybenzone/Avobenzone/Homosalate/Octinoxate/Octisalate/Octocrylene/Nanoparticles.&nbsp;

Absolutely! The ride is generally dry though occasionally we will have some light spray. We will instruct you to keep good cameras covered and you do bring them at your own risk.

This world-class snorkeling tour is timed to allow you to snorkel with fewer people at the bay! Snorkel at one of Hawaii&#39;s best snorkel spots, Kealakekua Bay, which is a National Marine Park and the site of the Captain Cook Monument.

With its crystal clear calm waters, guests to the Big Island naturally gravitate there. With upwards of 300-400 people in the early morning or late afternoon, this tour&#39;s departure time is designed to avoid the crowds!

Snorkel Kealakekua Bay as long as you like, and the crew of the raft will have lunch ready for you when they get out of the water. Enjoy a light deli lunch sandwich, snacks, fresh local pineapple, bottled water and soft drinks before continuing on to the coastal part of the tour!

You will be introduced to an array of nature&rsquo;s secret wonders on the tour, that can only be experienced in a Zodiac boat. The small group atmosphere of the expedition allows for a personal and intimate tour. Only the Zodiacs can get close to the many lava tubes, sea caves, sea grottos and wave powered blow holes. You will learn how the island was formed as the captain shares&nbsp; knowledge about the geology of the island&rsquo;s lava flows, Hawaiian folklore and history.

Frequent sightings of dolphins, manta rays, turtles and other marine life add to the adventure as you zip across the waves on this exhilarating and fun expedition. The quick moving and agile Zodiac boats provide excitement that has made them recognized worldwide as the best way to explore the marine environment.
